Before starting, check the below:
Accounts must exist - create the accounts first under Settings - Accounting.
If you want to use tax codes, these must also be added first on the Settings - Accounting page.
Create categories with the help of a file template
In the Zevoy Hub, navigate to the Settings page and then to the Categories tab.
Under Categories, click New category and select Download file template.
Open the downloaded template with a spreadsheet program (e.g., Excel).
In the template, fill in the template accordingly:
name: Name of the category.
group name: eg. Entertainment / Equipment & hardware etc.
account number: The previously created account number.
tax code: The previously created tax code - not mandatory to have.
tax rate: Tax rate. Use "." as a the separator (eg. 25.5). Do not add special characters.
description: The description of the category - not mandatory to have.
After completing the template, save it as a csv and return to the Zevoy Hub. Under Categories, click New category and drag the file into the field, or click the box to select the file from your files. Ensure that your file is saved in the .csv format before uploading.
You can now preview the categories. If everything is in order, click 'Create categories'.
Done!
The categories have now been created!
